One True Army has become a powerhouse in competitive gaming, but how did it all start? Discover the untold story and what sets this team apart from the rest.
1. How do you see the esports industry evolving in the next 5-10 years, and what role do you envision One True Army playing in that future?
1TA Arav (Founder of 1TA)... "The esports industry has always been a unique line of entertainment and business. Most members from the industry come from a background filled with gaming, whether it be from their parents or family, or even their friends. Video games bring us together, and a competitive line of these games bring out the most competition among us. As per recent years, we have seen that esports has not been the most profitable field nor been too popular. Although, the pandemic brought back that passion for games and this brought back competition. Moving forward, each game is only getting more competitive and popular, so I believe in the next 5-10 years we will see a drastic improvement in the esports industry. One True Army was created to build a home and create more passion and interest in the industry. I have a strong passion for esports and I just want to create a home where players can feel safe and protected. We at One True Army, focus on providing players the best support and not just using them for the benefits we can get. Many organisations keep pulling out of the industry as they are unable to make money or are losing way too much money. I believe our slow and steady process at One True Army has led to the organisation being first of all, one of the only profitable organisations in the scene in just 6 months. We want to create everlasting relationships for the upcoming future and stay in the industry for as long as possible because this is our true hobby and what we work for everyday."
2. As a founder, how do you balance the long-term vision of the organization with day-to-day operational decisions?
1TA Zade (Founder of 1TA)... "Balancing long-term goals with daily operations comes down to staying focused on our bigger vision while managing the immediate needs of the organization. I prioritize consistency and sustainability, making sure our daily decisions align with the values we stand for and set us up for future growth. It’s about finding that sweet spot between strategic planning and practical execution, ensuring that every step we take is intentional and in service of the long-term vision."
3. What core values and principles does One True Army stand for, and how do you ensure they are upheld across all teams and members?
1TA Zade (Founder of 1TA)... "At One True Army, we focus on integrity, passion, and sustainability. We treat our players as people, not commodities, and strive to create a supportive, long-term environment where they can thrive. I ensure these values are upheld by leading with transparency, open communication, and building a culture where every decision reflects who we are and what we stand for, from recruitment to day-to-day operations."
4. What inspired you to start One True Army, and how did you envision the organization when you first launched it?
1TA Glockkz (Founder of 1TA)... "Basically, back in the day I was a player but I felt like I didn’t really wanna play competitive no more, but still be in the game competing in a way, so I decided to make a team of my own."
5. What were the biggest challenges you faced in the early stages, and how did you overcome them?
1TA Glockkz (Founder of 1TA)... "3 biggest challenges I faced in the early stages were, getting a good amount of funds to bring 1TA out on top, building a community, and maybe finding the right people to help run the team. How I overcame these challenges was finding a dude like Zade who can put in the same amount of funds as I did, which truly brought up the team. Building community came into play when the team started getting more known. The minute we got curve n Tyler and veer, and obviously qualified for our first grands, 1ta caught a lot of interest from many people around NA yea, we started going up from there."
6. As an owner, how do you balance the business side of the organization with maintaining a passion for esports?
1TA Tomu (Owner of 1TA)... "Well to answer this question you must go to the reason why we started One True Army. Before One True Army we were just a group of friends who loved gaming. Over time we developed a strong passion and wanted to become a well organized group."
7. What are your long-term goals for One True Army in terms of growth, global presence, and expansion into new markets?
1TA Tomu (Owner of 1TA)... "One True Army has a lot of goals. One of them is to be the biggest content organization in the world. We want to be the biggest and to inspire people all across the globe and to help unite friends and families to come closer and experience what we are experiencing the love and friendship within the gaming industry. We would love to expand into different markets. Some in mind are the retail business and the health industry. As gamers we need to be healthy and have fun playing."
8. How do you measure the success of One True Army, and what key performance indicators do you focus on to ensure the organization’s growth and sustainability?
1TA Jono (Owner of 1TA)... "I measure success not from how other organizations are doing or comparing one to another, but from the progress we make every day working to be the best we can be. I love to focus on consistency. I think it’s the best way to keep growth and sustainability in the community. People love communities that are active and don’t feel like they have to bring that to the community for it to thrive, we make sure that won’t be anything they have to worry about."
9. What are your long-term goals for One True Army in terms of growth, global presence, and expansion into new markets?
1TA Jono (Owner of 1TA)... "Our long term goal is very simple. Be the best organization that we can be. We focus each day on what’s in-front of us now. What tasks or responsibilities do we have for today? What do we have to do to be the best version of ourselves? Here at One True Army we take it day by day making sure our community gets the best out of us that they deserve."

1TA Akron (Community Relations for 1TA)... I keep the team running smoothly by assisting with events, maintaining a positive community, and creating daily tasks that give admins a clear sense of what it takes to be a successful community manager. The challenges they face are designed to teach valuable lessons that will guide their growth. I work closely with the directors and owners to ensure that all tasks are handled efficiently and that the team’s growth contributes to strong profits from merchandise, academy programs, production, and more."
